Off on Vacation

Well...I'm off to my fantastic Caribbean cruise...and it's my hope that I get a book out of this. LOL!

I'm going to try and post once while I'm gone. The only bad thing is that we are leaving from Galveston, Texas. It's a great place when it's not raining.

Anyway...you all have a good two weeks...talk to you later.

Fourth of July

Don't you just love the Fourth? Hard to believe that a little over two hundred years ago we were just pushing for our independence as a country.

It's because of that independence that we writers can do what we do. In today's society I write what is called 'racy' books. But if our forefathers hadn't put aside their own wants for the needs of fledgling nation, we wouldn't be here. Sure, they knew the risks but in reality they were counting on the benefits.

Things like taxation, land restrictions, religion and a host of other things. I for one am very grateful that they decided that this nation's agenda somehow coincided with their own.

Tomorrow, I'll get back to the writing thing. Hope you all had a good Fourth.

Blogging

Well...here I am blogging again but in a new place...and it's definitely something that I should be doing to get to know more people. BUT for quite a few people blogging can be addicting! I sure hope not for me as I do need time to write.

For those of you who don't know it, I'm an erotic romance writer. I write whatever story moves me meaning I don't have just one genre. I write in many. I would have to say that my first love would be paranormal, science fiction and futuristics. It's what my old critique group would call 'the weird stuff' and for me the weirder the better.

Over the next few months I will be talking about writing and life. They do go hand in hand much to most writers chagrin. It seems as if you get on track with one, and something pops up in the other that you just can't avord. It's a balancing act and maybe more so with a writer because our mind never stops. It's always creating and looking at scenarios in new and different ways.

More later...
