Wednesday's Writer ~ @forryalexandra #AlexandraForry #Wildflower

Today I'm chatting with author Alexandra Forry! Join me in welcoming her to Wednesday’s Writer. Welcome, Alexandra!

Tell us about your latest book, including its genre. Does it cross over to other genres? If so, what are they? My newest book Wildflower is a romance that is set in the heart of the stunning red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Wildflower is a very unique story line, it’s has both teen issues and middle age adult issues. I wrote it for all woman from all kinds of ages who will enjoy it.

What can we expect from you in the future? Hopefully a famous New York Time best seller for Romance, with some more books out on the bookshelves.

Do you have a set schedule for writing or do you just go with the flow? I go with the flow depends on what I need to do for that day before I can sit down to write. I just love it when I can sit down at my computer, listen to music and letting the words flow out as I write.

What are your thoughts on love scenes in romance novels? Do you find them difficult to write? Not at all because I was raised on the idea that sex was beautiful with some one that you love. I never had a hard time with my love scenes in any of my novels.

Who are some of your other favorite authors to read? That’s is a hard one, I have to say that LaVyrle Spencer is my favorite author. I love the way she writes, when you read one of her books it’s so easy to lose track of time. I remember reading “Home Song” by her and I read half of the book in one sitting. I like reading Danielle Steel’s and Nora Roberts’s books. Lately I had been busy reading my friends books.

How long have you been writing - have you always wanted to be a writer? I have always been a hopeless romantic since I could walk, and also I always wanted to be an author since I could remember. When I was younger I used to write short stories all the time. I remember being in 4th grade, I wrote a wonderful story that my teacher loved and hung it over her desk.

How many books have you written, how many have been published? So far I have three books, Omerta Affair, Timeless Ending and Wildflower out on Amazon.com. Okay to be truthful two of my books Omerta Affair and Timeless Ending are the same story line but Omerta Affair has colorful language and people didn’t know what Omerta means so I took out the colorful language that was in it and made the main love scene more romantic so it’s now more for woman.

Among your own books, have you a favorite book? Favorite hero or heroine? Between Timeless Ending and Wildflower I wrote characters that you’ll never forget, From a Las Vegas Mob boss to a outgoing rich teenage girl that make you laugh, I really can’t pick a favorite hero or heroine. All of them are unique in their own ways.

Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers? To follow their dreams no matter who they are and don’t let anything or anyone stop you from writing their book! A lot of people don't think that writing is a full time job and would tell you that it’s a waste of time but if you truly want to be a author and don't care about the money then go for it. Everyone has a story to tell.

What is your secret guilty pleasure? Let’s see… If I tell the world my secret guilty pleasure then it won’t be a secret anymore ;)

Leather or lace? Lace all the way for me
Black or red? Black!
Satin sheets or Egyptian cotton? Hands down Egyptian cotton.
Ocean or mountains? Umm, that’s hard…. I have to pick the Ocean.
City life or country life? City life all the way, I’m a Vegas girl!
Hunky heroes or average Joe? I would take the average Joe.
Party life or quiet dinner for two? Dinner for two with my average Joe. J
Dogs or cats? Cats for me.

I love pizza with . . . Everything on it.
I'm always ready . . . To go on an adventure!
When I'm alone, I . . . Turn my music up and dance!
You'd never be able to tell, but . . . I have cerebral palsy but that doesn’t stop me from anything.

Dessert ~ I’m not really a dessert woman. I like candy like starburst and airheads.
