Back With Six Sentence Sunday

Hi everyone!

I'm so sorry I missed Six Sentence Sunday last week but to be honest, I forgot to sign up. Bad me. We're in Chapter 6 of my WIP and I've promised to bring you at least two passages from each chapter. Actually, by next week, it will be a finished product and off to the editor. To catch up with the story, look at the older posts.

This week, Zex is doing her hardest not to be attracted to Kemp. Now that they are playing a married couple, she realizes that this will be harder than she imagined because she finds him yummy.

Hope you enjoy! And you have a bonus sentence this week...there was no way I could separate it out without losing part of the whole!

It had taken almost all night to formulate the plan and for Zex not to jump when Kemp had touched her in a sensual way. Not that she wasn’t attracted to him. She’d known the moment her hand unconsciously made contact with him, she wanted to jump his bones. Starting a relationship this way wasn’t her idea of a happily-ever-after. It was going to be so tough and yet, he didn’t seem bothered by it at all. She only hoped they would be able to stay in the new place long enough to get some sleep and a decent bath. Maybe then she’d scrub him out of her mind.

See you all next week!

Six Sentence Sunday...Again

Hi everyone!

Welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday. I'm giving you snippets of my WIP, Unlikely Paradise, which is due to be out before the end of the year. If you are new to this story, last week has a summary up to this point. While I've been trying to give at least two passages from each chapter, this one made me revise my rule just a little. I swear, it's truly the last passage from Chapter 5...LOL...enjoy!

It all made sense that the bots were being used as spies. After all, they were supposed to be keeping their clients secrets of things said in the throes of passion. He wondered just who and how much they had on the upper echelon of the military. It was the only reason he could think the Corps might be in bed with the bad guys. “Fine. That settles it, we’re going to play a married couple.”

Unlikely Paradise - Six Sentence Sunday

Another Six Sentence Sunday is here. We’re still working through my WIP, Unlikely Paradise, and this entry comes from Chapter 5. For those who are here for the first time, here’s a little recap of what’s happened so far.

Reporter Zextra Harrison has uncovered the story of a lifetime. Too bad there are those who want to cut her life short because of what she’s uncovered. She’s been kidnapped and sent to the pleasure planet Bliss4521 for a total memory wipe. Kemper Green is a doctor who has been demoted because of his sense of duty. Now he repairs robotic humans as his sentence. He’s bidding his time until he can leave when Zex is brought in for repair. Tied up and drugged. When she sheds a tear, he realizes he’s poised to commit the most henious of crimes, turning a human into a robotic type creature. Again, he puts himself on the side of right and whisks Zex away to an undisclosed destination. This is part of the conversation they have when she wakes up.

Enjoy!

Kemp rubbed his eyes. “Sounds like they took her to get you. Even exchange. I would say the fact that he gave you the information tells you he’s leaning toward the trust column.”
“Maybe. I just don’t know any more. I mean what you said about people living in their own little bubble makes sense.”

Six Sentence Sunday

Hi All!

We’re here today with another six sentence Sunday. It’s from my WIP Unlikely Paradise and we’re up to Chapter 5, half way to the end. I hope you enjoy your little look into my world!

She shrugged. “Maybe betrayed is the wrong word.”
“Look...he either sold you to the enemy or he didn’t...which was it?”
“That’s what I’m not sure about. Sid was with the bad guy when he came to my apartment. And he’s the one who tazed me...but he said something really odd as I was passing out.”

Another Six Sentence Sunday - Unlikely Paradise

Hi all!

It's another Six Sentence Sunday and the first thing I need to do is award the $10 Amazon gift card and ebook from two weeks ago. To make a long story short, I forgot to sign up for the Sunday Six...bad me! It had been a busy week and it totally slipped my mind. BUT what I didn't forget was that I made a promise to one lucky reader. The winner of the $10 GC and my ebook The Harvester is....Lelelia! She left a comment on the last Sunday Six and was chosen by random drawing. I'll be emailing her with the details!

Now, for this week, I'll be giving away the same thing...BUT...there's a little catch. I want you to tell me what's your favorite Sunday Six from Unlikely Paradise. That's it...just look back at all the Sundays, pick the one you liked the best and let me know. One commenter will win a $10 GC and a copy of The Harvester. Don't forget to share with your friends...the more, the merrier!

Without further ado...the next Sunday Six from...Unlikely Paradise!

The chair thumped down and he let out a snort. “Do you have any proof of any of this?”
She nodded. “I had just gotten my last bit of information and was going to write the story when that goon nabbed me. The moment I disappeared, the data went to various places across the internet and to some trusted family and friends. People I know who would get the word out.”

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Another Six Sentence Sunday

Hi all!

Hope you’re ready for another Six Sentence Sunday...I know I am...this week, we’re with my WIP, Unlikely Paradise. I plan to share two sets of six sentences from each chapter of the book. It’s almost done but I’ll share until all the excerpts are used up.

"Where are we?" Her husky whisper would have been sexy if her throat hadn't been so dry.
"Are you sure you really want to know?" His green eyes bore into hers.
Gazing around the room, she realized they were in some flea-bitten, sleazy place. The underbelly of a pleasure planet wasn't foreign ground to her but this was definitely not the place she had imagined waking up in once she’d completed her story.

See you next week for another Six Sentence Sunday!

Six Sentence Sunday - Unlikely Paradise - Third Time A Charm

Pardon the dust everyone. It wasn't until I tried to share all the Six Sentence Sunday people that I realized this blog was sorely lacking in share buttons. Unfortunately, no matter how I tried, I couldn't get any share buttons to take. So I decided to try on some different skin to see what it looks like. Unfortunately, that will be happening a far portion of Sunday. Tell me what you think of the new digs when you comment. I'd appreciate knowing if I totally screwed up or if I might have gotten it close to being right. Sometime soon, it will be matched to my website and the blog will then be beautiful!

Here's my snippet for Six Sentence Sunday and I hope you enjoy. I know I really enjoy writing this story. It's almost done now and we'll be moving on to greener pastures soon. I figure another three passages and Sundays at most before it's up on Amazon.

He caught a glimpse of something shiny and leaned in to get a closer look. Kemper stood straight up. “Impossible,” he muttered more to himself than anyone in the room. He looked back again when those beautiful blue eyes blinked rapidly.
Tears – droids didn’t have tear ducts and therefore couldn’t cry. It was the only attribute that had yet to be  perfected.

Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my WIP...see you next week!

Six Sentence Sunday - Unlikely Paradise - Take Two

Hi everyone!

I'm back again with my WIP Unlikely Paradise and a second round of Six Sentence Sunday. Last week I introduced you to the heroine, Zextra Harrison. Today, I introduce you to the hero, Kemper Green. Enjoy!

Kemper Green felt every one of his thirty-eight years the night they’d thrown him on the transport for reassignment to the paradise planet called Bliss 4521. He’d known the risks of helping the poor and others at the hidden clinic in the shantytown near the spaceport. He knew and didn’t care because he was an old-fashioned type of doctor who believed in the Hippocratic Oath.
Little good it did him as he’d ended up in a place far worse than where he’d started. This town had a nefarious undercurrent of pure evil even though the corps tried to convince him otherwise. He understood the powers that be had more money than God himself and today wealth spoke more than any honor bound tradition in place for thousands of years.

I'll be back again next week with another installment of Unlikely Paradise...hope you have a great one!

Six Sentence Sunday - Unlikely Paradise - My WIP

This story is my current work in progress. It's called Unlikely Paradise and it's the story of a reporter who has unburied a horrible secret regarding the pleasure planets of her universe. Now it's up to her to get away with the information so she can tell the world.

This book is scheduled to be out later this month...I'll keep you posted.

Zex looked at the green glowing liquid with disdain. She’d never really given any thought to what she’s actually need to do with the liquid once it held all her secrets. She closed her eyes briefly and let out a big sigh. The shredder awaited the destruction of her information once implantation had occurred. She held her eye open and dropped half the liquid in one then the other.
She allowed the cold to seep through her as she recalled the instructions of the shop owner.

Hope you like what you see! Until next week!

My Second Six

I had so much fun last week, I decided to do it again!

Here are my second six from my latest book, The Harvester:

Sky lay on top of Jaxon, her fingers lightly skimming the flesh on his abdomen, her leg over his. Zane snuggled her backside as the bliss fulfilled her in total completion. She’d never thought she would feel this way. There were women on Tyrsati who had never found their soul mate and here she had found not one but two on a primitive, rim world. Unexpectedly, she could understand why women wanted to share the power with a man or men such as she had found. She closed her eyes and let out a big sigh.

In case you missed it, here’s some information about the book.

Logline: Sky Nerezsh, a Harvester of men, leaves home avoiding a tragic path when a rival comes to claim Earth and the two Scottish lifemates she’s just discovered.

Blurb: Princess Sky Xera Nerezsh came to earth to avoid the normal succession path to the throne. Being the oldest daughter, she will be required to murder her mother in order to secure her path to power. Sky loves her mother and refuses this path, choosing instead to disappear in the vast reaches of space. When her past collides with her present, she has to think quick on her feet, claim two men and a whole planet just to avoid the inevitable: a meeting with her mother. Along the way, she discovers true love and a burning need to be there for them always. Now if the other Harvesters can just keep to themselves, they’ll have no problems. But who said true love was ever easy.

Come back next week as I have the last of my six sentences for The Harvester.

Have a great week!

My First Six Sentence Sunday

Pardon me for being so late. My youngest is leaving us for the States tomorrow and Vienna will once again be a lonesome place.

Here’s my six sentences from my latest book, The Harvester:

The man turned over and arched his cock toward her just a little. Sky moved her thumb across the tip and felt the organ jump. Wait a minute...she had barely enough time to get the words out in her mind when she found herself flat on her back as violet eyes moved over her.
“I want to know just what the hell game you’re playing.”
She stared at him a moment and stayed completely still. “No game.”

The Harvester is still new and I hope you’ll go out and purchase this  hot, menage, sci-fi story. It’s the first book in the series and it’s expected to have the second book out before the end of the year. Just in case you missed it from my last newsletter, here are the purchase links again.
