Welcome to week 122^nd week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Our Sexy Holidays and all I can think is that Christmas is coming. It’s a very, very sexy time of year. And I love it.

Now, I don’t have to go very far to come up with a story for this time of year. One of my very first stories is about Santa and some very special elves. It’s a story I loved to write and have just a few books left to complete the series.

There will be a Monday’s Austria Scoop and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life this week as I’ll be taking a total vacation from most internet posting because of the holidays.

This week’s novella is The View From Santa’s Sleigh. It’s the series about a special elf family that runs Santa’s workshop. Here’s the setup:

Tessa, very let down by love, is surprised to find herself comforted by the red-suited man himself on Christmas Eve. Thinking that he is the figment of her slightly tipsy mind, she pours her heart out to him hoping for just a little love, understanding and a good sexual encounter. Tessa gets more than she bargained for with an elf named Jedrick and both get the Christmas present of a lifetime. In only a short time, they find themselves realizing their love is for more than just the holiday season and more than just the sexual romp they had envisioned.

But Tessa has obligations in the real world and Jedrick needs to begin designs for next year. He gives Tessa a very special locket, telling her to use it anytime and he will come right away. Once back in her world, Tessa finds it has lost its charm and knows that her place is with the elf she loves, Jedrick. Their very humorous love-story is told amidst the backdrop of a post Christmas North Pole and the winter in Reno.

Here’s my seven paragraphs from The View From Santa’s Sleigh:

“Eggther, sometimes an opportunity to do a wonderful thing comes up. Sometimes you can give a present to two people. Sometimes it isn’t about sex.”

“Santa…,” he warned.

“Now don’t start…you know as much as I do that Jedrick deserves something very special this year. And this young woman does too.”

“Santa, bringing him home a woman isn’t going to solve anything. You just said it wasn’t about sex.”

Santa sat up straight. “That’s where I think your wrong, Eggie, a woman is just the thing. The man doesn’t feel like he belongs any more. He doesn’t have the same drive and the toys he’s been creating…well, they just aren’t up to our usual standards. In the long run both you and I know it isn’t about the sex but maybe for him, it is all about the sex just this once.”

“Santa…he’ll find a girl…someone will love him,” Eggther began.

“How in the world is a six foot four elf going to find a woman when there aren’t any around for him?” Santa stared at Eggther. “No normal elf woman would ever look at him, you know it.  Sex…now that’s just out of the question! He needs one his size.”

Welcome to week 98^th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Our Sexy Man and it was pretty open but absolutely dedicated to the sexy men in our books. Each of my stories has a sexy man, sometimes two but all of them the kind any woman would love to meet.

Just a few reminders before we get into the snippet. My blog is always hopping with Monday’s Austria Scoop where I talk about Austria and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Live where I talk writing and life. Both can be incredibly boring or incredibly exciting. Some weeks it’s a little bit of both.

Today’s book is one that is in my Santa’s Elves series at my traditional epublisher, eXtasy Books. This is a wonderful series about the elves that help Santa at the North Pole. While the first book was sexy and sweet, each of the others have taken on some darker aspects of magic. This one shows that making people forget isn’t always the best thing. Here’s the set up:

Lacey Sinclair wants to be a doctor but life and circumstance has made that path impossible.  Given the chance at the job of a lifetime and the promise of enough money to see her through med school, she is hesitant. Something draws her to one certain man that she can’t put her finger on. Her body is alive and her mind sharp, focused when she’s near him. So before she can live the life of her dreams, she must discover just who Cuinn Lochlin is to her and her future. 

Here’s my seven paragraphs from An Elf’s Love:

Every contour of his body was rock solid. Her breath hitched and she tried hard to control her breathing. Licking her lips, she looked up at him and lost herself. She wanted to kiss this man, to touch him like a lover, to have him inside her as quickly as she could. Before her thoughts could get the better of her, she brought to mind images of the president, of Gandhi, of Mother Teresa, but nothing would to stop her passionate feelings. Her very being wanted this man.

* * * *

“Ah, hell—” Cuinn swooped down on her and captured her lips with his. He couldn’t help himself. From the moment she walked into the conference room that morning, all he could think about was having her in his arms. He should have told his father at the wedding last year about his desire for her, but her place hadn’t cemented in his heart yet. Now there would be no stopping their bonding.

Gently, he pulled back and gazed at her. “I’ll stop if you want me to.”

Lacey quickly shook her head. “No. I’ve never felt something so right.” She pulled his head back to her and his lips captured hers with no tenderness this time, just a hard, raw need.

Still, he knew she needed tender after what had happened to her this past year. Changing the tone of his onslaught, Cuinn gently sucked her bottom lip and ran his hands softly down her arms. Rewarded with a slight shiver, his body tightened in response to her body’s signals as his caress slipped around to her soft buttocks.

The rapid beat of her heart drummed against him, showing how aroused she truly was. She would be the core of his world and he wanted everything to be right for their first time, so trying hard to remember all the lessons on sex from his father. First, he put up his shields knowing some people in the city would feel the energy. Then, he snapped the glamour spell more firmly around himself because there were some things she couldn’t know until they had reached the North Pole. Cuinn only hoped she would forgive him once all had been revealed.

Breaking off the kiss, he breathed hard as he gently cupped her face in his hands. “Tell me to stop right now and I will because you have to be very, very sure you want this to happen.”

This is the fourth book in the Santa’s Elves series for eXtasy. Right now there five of the six books completed with the last one slated for later this year. There is also a couple of novellas that I want to get completed in this world as well. The whole series is about a family of elves who work for Santa and all about their lives. Welcome to week 85^th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is Their Sexy Talk and again, it was noted that this theme would mean different things for different authors. This week, I’m using a story from my backlist and I’ve chosen a couple who in the beginning were at odds with each other. The spark was there in spaded but Ardan just didn’t want to acknowledge it until the end of the book. But through it all, as a reader, I hope you can tell that they are working toward a tomorrow. The book is the second in my Santa’s Elves series, The Thing About Elves, and it’s one of my all-time favorite stories that I’ve written. Here’s the setup:

It’s been two years since Angie’s friend, Tessa, got married to Jedrick and introduced her to his brother, Ardan. From the moment, she saw him she knew he was the man for her. There’s only one problem…he’s elf…an elf who swears human and elves don’t mix. But Angie has other plans in mind.

When Ardan asks her to his house after the delivery of Tessa’s and Jedrick’s twins, she jumps at the chance. Even though he keeps telling her nothing will happen, they have been doing this dance for a very long time. And when she teases him by caressing his body, Ardan knows he’s lost. But love and commitment are more than just hot sex. Ardan still doesn’t trust human women and Angie is determined to prove that she is the woman…the only woman…for him. She loves medicine, the North Pole and him more than anything else in the world.

When Ardan is summoned to help a hurt elf, he is unavailable and Angie goes in his stead to prove to him that she loves the community of elves as much as he does. But something goes terribly wrong and Ardan is left to care for a comatose and possibly dying Angie. Ardan realizing just how precious this woman is, vows to prove to her his love is fathomless.

No matter what the future holds.

This book is a novella and like I said, I loved writing it. When I finished the book, I had a Joan Wilder moment and actually cried from being so happy. Yes, it is that heartwarming and awesome.  I hope you enjoy Angie’s story with my snippet this week of seven sexy paragraphs!

Ardan snorted. Resist, indeed. “Madam, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Sure you do. You just don’t want to admit it, big boy. You want me.” She closed her eyes as if breathing in his scent just like he had done moments before when he had his back turned to her.

“And I want you.”

Slowly, she slid a finger up his leg and under his lab coat. If that hand or finger went an inch higher, she would know that he lied. Still, he tried to will his body to obey his commands. Human women were off limits. Angie’s hand continued its journey up his leg and he knew he was lost. How was he going to explain this?

She leaned back, looked up and chuckled. “What do we have here?”

Ardan almost felt physically sick. He hadn’t let a human woman touch him since college and here this one was practically in his pants. He cleared his throat. “I don’t know what you mean.”

“And you call yourself a doctor?” She stood on tiptoes and pulled him down to her. “Maybe I’ll have to teach you,” she whispered in his ear as her tongue snaked out and gently caressed the flesh.

Our Sexy New Year ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

Welcome to week 74th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is Our Sexy New Year and it’s all the New Year. Aren’t the beginnings of a new year wonderful? It’s as if you can reset the clock to do anything you want. Lose weight, find a new love, buy that big purchase you’ve always wanted or maybe just slow down and enjoy the life you have. I’ve been enjoying my life so far this year.

We had visitors this year and I meet my youngest’s new girlfriend, who is a joy. We did very little as the weather wouldn’t permit us too much while they were here. And on the day they left, things totally changed. This year has started with a bang and the Austrian weather is so very, very strange. We’ve had snow and now we’re having a heat wave that is wonderful. It’s soon to be followed by more snow and rain with temperatures falling yet again. But for today, we decided to enjoy the sun and get out.

            “Never,” he whispered and caressed her head. “I want you to be happy. I love you too much to keep you totally isolated if you didn’t like it. Besides, we have email.”

            Tessa smiled and threw her arms around him.

            “I really do love you,” she said, raining kisses along his face and neck.

            “I have a bone to pick with you, though.” He looked at her fiercely for a moment, looking from Tessa’s face to Angie’s expectant one. “You told her?”

A Sexy Sleigh Ride ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #MSSAuthors #LynnCrain

Welcome to week 73^nd week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is A Sexy Sleigh Ride and it’s all about a special ride, whether it be in Santa’s Sleigh or something more traditional. Here in Austria, the mountains are filled with fantastic sleighs that one can hire and take an awesome ride. Except maybe not this year.

Like last week where I’ve decided that weather was interesting here in Austria, we’ve had yet another development. It is so warm right now it’s unreal. Normally this time of year, we’ve had a few very cold days. Actually, quite a few. Not so this year as we’ve had maybe 10 days total where it’s been really cold. We’ve had odd days of fog, rain and things like that but nothing to really indicate winter. At least, not on a normal scale. This is more like the winters that I’ve dealt with in the US southwest than in Europe.

Just yesterday, my husband noticed in the newspaper that this is a widespread problem since there is no snow in the ski resorts here. Now, I’ve seen that where I come from but not here. Here, there’s always been snow for the resorts. Maybe not in the city but always the mountains.

Our youngest and his girlfriend arrived this week. I’ve been teasing them that they brought the heat with them. The sun has been shining and other than the occasional wind, you wouldn’t know it’s even winter. Still, the Christkindlmarkts are in full swing and at least the season feels like it should. Other than the snow.

I’m just going to point out that this was a wonderful series to write. I love building this world with my elves and am going to get back to it very, very soon.             Jedrick donned his parka in record speed and was in the sleigh before anyone could blink an eye.

            “Come on, boys, she summoned me,” he yelled at the reindeer.

            As soon as they were airborne, he put the weather bubble around them to keep them from the elements. The reindeer were quite quick in their task and within a few minutes they were perched on the top of Tessa’s house while still maintaining their cover. Standing by the chimney, he knew it was now or never. Laying a finger on the side of his nose, he jumped straight in and thanked the gods that his elven magic allowed him to walk through fire. Crouching at the bottom, he inched forward and stood brushing himself off.

            “Wow,” Angie said, eyeing the guy who emerged from their fireplace without a burn mark on him. She took a quick glance at Tessa. “You going to introduce us?”

            Tessa sat there with her mouth hanging open. She swore silently to herself that he’d never looked better. Jedrick stood before them in what could be described as a poet’s shirt and jeans. The blue shirt was embroidered with such intricate patterns she felt almost mesmerized by it.

            “What? Is it too much?” He rubbed his hand down his front.

            “No. It’s beautiful. You’re beautiful,” she murmured.

A Sexy Morning ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

Welcome to week 72^nd week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is A Sexy Morning and it’s all about the morning after. Now those can have their own way of being comedic, serious or maybe something else. I know that my books have had their share of mornings but I wasn’t sure I really had anything that fit this theme. The one I found isn’t your typical morning after…but then I’ll leave that interpretation to you.

I’ve decided that weather is always interesting here in Austria and we’ve had yet another turn. It’s warmed up again during the day. Right now, I’m looking outside to a sunny day. I’ll be able to wear the light winter coat but tonight…well…tonight will be another issue. The temperature will really drop and I’ll be pulling out my full winter gear. I kid you not. The drop in temp will be about 10-15 degrees and it happens very quickly. So a 50 degree day, can fall to almost freezing in no time at all. Good thing is no rain and the ceiling isn’t dripping any more.

My husband returned from his extensive business trip and this is good in many ways. He now can spend time entertaining Pup Harry, leaving my time for writing or catching up on research or reading. And let me tell you, I have used my time very well. I’ve almost completed my research on a new series I’m doing and I’ll be able to have a cover reveal here in the near future. This week, I’ll also reveal the long-awaited holiday gift-sharing and where I’m going to be list. Look for it on Tuesday. And while I might not have gotten in on some of the best Christmas giveaways, I will be directing you to spots that have awesome ones. And I plan to have a little one all myself.

This week, I’m sharing sexy seven paragraphs from my book An Elf’s Desire, which is from the series Santa’s Elves. It’s been quite a while since I’ve done this book but I’ll be doing all the books in the series for the next few weeks as I’m putting the final touches on the next story. After that, there will only be two more stories left and the series will be complete. The last two stories are actually novellas that people have been requesting me to write over the years. Here’s the setup:

What can a elven sex therapist do with an oversexed, untrained elf? Bed her of course. But when Fearghus Brodie comes to the new country to meet the subject of the elven council’s mandated training, he wasn’t prepared to find young and very beautiful Aingeal Locklin. He didn’t know what he expected but she wasn’t it.

Aingeal, on the other hand, knows exactly what she wants and Fearghus is it with his scruffy good looks and emerald green eyes. There’s just one problem. He thinks she is an experience woman of the world who needs to learn to keep a lid on her sexual escapades. He’s right about one thing, she likes sex. Too bad it’s all been of a solitary nature but that’s about to change when she teases him with her virgin body and eagerness to learn.

But Fearghus has issues that only come to the surface once the deed is done and after weeks of making love. The last virgin he took ended up being his fiancée and that relationship ended bad, very bad.

Can Aingeal convince him that she’s the woman for him before it is too late?

This was great book and series to write. I love building our world with elves and relating it back to Scotland was awesome. Can’t help but state Scotland is one of my favorite places in the world. Here’s my sexy seven paragraphs. I hope you find the wonder of Santa’s Elves and Scotland just as appealing as I do!

Slowly making her way down the stairs, she stopped to look out every window and at every antique she could see. Going to see Fearghus proved to be more difficult than she had originally thought. Aingeal never felt remorse from any of her relationships. But this was different. This man had taken her virginity and she had never even warned him. Sighing heavily as the first thing she would need to do is to apologize to the man. And somehow hope he might forgive her for her deception because she knew she wanted more of what they had shared last night.

Still, it wasn’t all her fault. They had all assumed because they felt a sexual release from her she was no longer a virgin. No one, including her mother, had even asked her what her situation really was. Maybe if it had been explained to her a long time ago when the birds and the bees had been first explained, she would have been more diligent in keeping her hands off herself.

Finally, she arrived on the bottom floor and wandered in the general direction of what she assumed was a kitchen and, if truth be told, her stomach was actually growled. Pushing the door inward, she found Fearghus talking softly into a cell phone sitting at a large round table. She closed her eyes and prayed he hadn’t called her parents. Some things were meant to be a woman’s decision alone. And she had choose him. Nothing he could say would make her think her decision was wrong in any way.

Closing the phone, he turned to face her, scooting his chair around, his eyes sweeping over her, top to bottom. “First, I want you to know your secret is probably safe with me.”

“Only probably?” This was not going the way she wanted as she wanted total secrecy. “Can you explain probably?”

“Aingeal, you have to know I need to talk to the council as they were going under some false assumptions.”

Sighing, she nodded her head in agreement, pulled out a chair and plopped down next to him. “What do you think they are going to say? My intention was never to make everyone think…well…you know.”

Welcome to week 69^th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is Our Sexy Thanksgiving. There was a lot of talk about the holiday and the movies that remind us of the holidays. Definitely some fun things there. Unfortunately, I don’t have one book set near the holiday of Thanksgiving. Gives me something to think about, that’s for sure.

The Chriskindlemarkts are in full swing now with the last of them opening this weekend. It just seems so wrong when those of us in the US haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving yet. But I’m celebrating it early because of friends from the States. My dear husband is off doing work so I was going to be alone. Some of his co-workers, whom I’ve become friends with, are here doing their part for an exercise being done in the Middle East. They decided we all needed to celebrate the holiday early. So today’s the day for me to get all the turkey I could ever want. LOL! Can’t wait.

And again, the big surprise has gone undone. I so, so apologize as it was me this week. Part of what I do every year is to get some surprises from the Chriskindlemarkts here and shipped them to where ever the winners may live. I still plan to do that but since I haven’t even purchased the gifts yet, I thought it was a little premature to talk about things I had no clue about. Hope you understand. Part of this fabulous weekend is doing just that. So far, I’ve visited two of the markets and plan on a few more. I know you’ll like what I have. So just a little more patience and all will be revealed.

I have decided that Austria doesn’t know what season it is yet. Some days are pleasant and much warmer than what one expects for winter. There were days that is was so gray, I wanted to bury my head under the pillow. Other days, snow clouds hung in the sky and did nothing. Just made everyone realize that it hasn’t snowed yet. I’m expecting that one soon. Now today, is back to a gray day but I’m still chipper since we’re doing Thanksgiving. Pup Harry has been snarkier than usual since he hurt his leg but otherwise is a very happy dog. Even he will enjoy the turkey.

Longmire fans got the news we had been hoping for…Netflix picked up our beloved series for another season…Season 4 will be short, only 10 episodes, but it’s coming in 2015. Can you say happy dance? I can’t wait to see what all is going to happen with that much beloved series. Again…gotta love those cowboys…and let’s not forget those Indians!

This week, I’m sharing another sexy seven paragraphs from my book The Thing About Elves. Like I said, not much in the way of a Thanksgiving theme in any of my books but these characters have a lot to be thankful for but you’ll need to read the book to find out. Again, this is book two in the series and the hero is to die for. He’s a very sexy elf on the order of Legolas in the Lord of the Rings series or The Hobbit series. He’s sexy and there’s a woman on his horizon who sees right past the sexy façade to the man beneath. And what’s even more wonderful…it’s on sale for just $0.99! Here’s the setup:

It’s been two years since Angie’s friend, Tessa, got married to Jedrick and introduced her to his brother, Ardan. From the moment, she saw him she knew he was the man for her. There’s only one problem…he’s elf…an elf who swears human and elves don’t mix. But Angie has other plans in mind. When Ardan asks her to his house after the delivery of Tessa’s and Jedrick’s twins, she jumps at the chance. Even though he keeps telling her nothing will happen, they have been doing this dance for a very long time. And when she teases him by caressing his body, Ardan knows he’s lost. But love and commitment are more than just hot sex.

Ardan still doesn’t trust human women and Angie is determined to prove that she is the woman…the only woman…for him. She loves medicine, the North Pole and him more than anything else in the world. Ardan pulled her tighter. “It’s the northern lights, the Aurora Borealis.”

“You mean the thing caused by the Earth’s magnetic field?” She looked at him through hooded lashes. He had to know just how much he affected her with his closeness. All her senses were on high sexual alert. It took everything in her to keep her heart from not beating out of her chest.

He continued to look at the light show for a few more minutes. “Yes, it’s caused by the magnetic field. But we tell another story about them.”

“And that is?”

He looked down at her then with troubled eyes. “We artic elves have a legend about lost lovers. Or maybe you would call them found.”

She grinned then. “What’s the legend?”

“In the realm of the first Earth, there were two elves. One always wanted to stay home and do everything he was told while his mate loved to help people. She would do whatever was necessary so her people could thrive and prosper. One day she was called away and while she was gone the eternal night that you mentioned had begun and she couldn’t find her way home. Her mate was so lost without her that he prayed for seven days and seven nights to the gods to bring her home. At the end of the seventh day, the night sky lit up with what we call the Aurora Borealis and she was able to find her way home by its light.”
