WeWriWa ~ My Unpublished 8 ~ #8Sunday #LynnCrain



Hi everyone!

This week is my sixth time with the Weekend Writing Warriors. Here’s 8 sentences from one of my current WIPs, The Voyage of the Inara Marue.

Xander sighed in exasperation. "How, Cam, just describe to me exactly how this was different?"
"Well…the first thing he did was chain my foot to the bed." She watched him momentarily before continuing. "That's when he touched me. I felt a sting when he touched me and I reacted." She swallowed hard and pulled her gown down to reveal the ugly red welt which had formed.
He immediately was next to her.

This is a sci-fi novel with romantic elements. It’s about a woman who was physically and genetically modified without her permission. The modifications are extensive and include eyes, limbs and nanotechnology in the form of nanites flowing through her. She was built for a special mission but those in power at the military want her for something very different and it’s not for the good of mankind. She has to fight not only for herself but the whole of mankind.
