Getting Your Sexy On ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors #LynnCrain

Welcome to week 61st week of My Sexy Saturday. As we all know, the weekly theme is always about a couple. Sometimes the couple is young, sometimes a little older. Sometimes, one of them doesn’t know they are sexy. This week’s theme is all about Getting Your Sexy On. Wow…what a theme…reminds me of so many things.

This week in Austria, it’s gone from being the pleasant fall weather I’ve so looked forward to having to something out of early winter. It’s cold. So cold, I’ve had to don a jacket more than once this week. It’s also raining occasionally and that makes the days gray thus rendering them fabulous times for getting a good book to curl up with. I’ve been doing that too. Lots of shorts, lots of mysteries and lots of cowboys for me recently. Did I really say cowboys? LOL! They’re really not the ones you think, I can guarantee. Look up the hashtag #LongLiveLongmire and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

So, this week, we’re talking about getting your sexy on. And I can’t say it better than a short I’m working on called Worth the Wait. It’s a wonderful little story about that time when one is young and getting ready to go to college. Once that occurs, things change forever. But sometimes, you have something that happens right before you go to make you think there’s a chance that you are attractive to the opposite sex. High school girls are so angsty and while this story may be a little about that, it’s a lot more.

To be honest, I wasn’t going to do anything with this great little story. Then I saw this fantastic cover and knew, right away, that it belonged to this story. I couldn’t have found a better fit. It said everything I wanted to say about the couple when they were in high school and when they were adults. Here’s the setup for Worth the Wait.

Jenny Adams wasn’t a popular girl in high school. No one understood the attraction star-running back Reese MacGyver had for her, least of all Jenny. When it looked as if things were getting hot and heavy before going away to college, Reese put on the brakes by soliciting a promise from her that they would get together, if neither were taken, at their tenth high school reunion. In a split-second decision and because of her love for him, Jenny puts it all in, vowing to make good on a teenage wish.
But ten years is a long time to wait. While Jenny has had relationships come and go, the promise always remains on her mind even when Reese becomes the man of every woman’s dream. He’s been very busy with his life and has become one of the richest men under thirty in decades. Jenny has done good too but not nearly that good and she wonders if he’ll be a man of his word as their tenth reunion looms.
And as the day draws every closer, she wonders if it will all be worth the wait…

So what do you think? Is it going to be Worth the Wait? It will be coming out soon as a self-published short. And I’ll be honest, it’s had some setbacks as it was slated to come out on September 20th. Sometimes things just don’t turn out like you want, so it’s been pushed back until sometime around November 1st. It's in the final editing stages, so be kind, this is an unedited except. Enjoy today’s seven. Happy reading!

“Oh. I’m Jenny and we haven’t met before.” She lowered her eyes, willing herself not to drool. The few friends she had would never believe it. She had been face to face with the cutest boy in high school and he wanted to know her name.
“Don’t like sports?” Reese leaned down to gaze in her eyes.
“I like sports fine. I...I just don’t fit in with the sports crowd.” Her voice sounded breathless even to her as she glanced up at him.
He looked her up and down. “I think you fit in just fine.”
“Reese, get your ass over here!” There was no mistaking the voice of the football team captain.
They both turned toward the sound as the kid called him. Shaking his head, he leaned in and whispered. “I’d say they are all blind.” He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before running to catch up to them.
She could feel the tightness low in her belly just like she was still seventeen. And again like that one time where his friends had disturbed their first encounter, she could hear some of them at the table next to them. Smiling wryly, she wondered about her luck to pick the one table next to the most snobby people from the school.

Wednesday's Writer ~ @KayPhoenix #KayPhoenix #BorealisArdor

Today, I have the lovely Kay Phoenix with us. I have known Kay for a few years through our association with the Las Vegas Romance Writers. We were critique partners while I was still in the States and I still get to occasionally work with this wonderful author.

She is celebrating the release of her new book, Borealis Ardor, and I can’t be more happy for her. Please join me in extending a heartfelt welcome to this week’s Wednesday’s Writer.

How do we find out about you and your books?  Check my website at www.KayPhoenix.com for updates.  From there you can find links to my blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

How many readers/fans contact you?  I tend to spend more time than I should on Facebook, so they can easily find me there or email me at KayPhoenix@yahoo.com.

Why did you decide to write romance novels?  About six years ago I took an online creative writing class from Gotham Writer’s Workshop and my instructor noticed a common thread of romance in my assignments and suggested I try a Romance Writing class.  I did and was hooked!

How much of your personality and life experiences are in your writing?  Lots!  There’s a saying “write what you know.”  Well, I don’t necessarily know any werewolves personally (that I’m aware of), but I have a wild imagination.

Do you feel humor is important in fiction and why?  Humor is very important because I think it’s one common thread that crosses cultures and historical lines.  Humor brings a real-life quality to fiction because the saying is true “truth is stranger than fiction.”

Do you ever ask him/her for advice?  Yes, I recently asked my boyfriend about a scene that I was stuck on and he gave me a great (and humorous) suggestion which I used and expanded upon.

Are you a member of any author groups - RWA, critique groups, etc.?  I’m a member of my home RWA chapter (Las Vegas Romance Writers).  I’m also part of two critique groups, one that meets online and another than meets in person.

Which comes first, the story, the characters, or the setting?  The characters for sure!  My books have to be “cast” first before I can do anything else.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say?  “Do not place in temperatures higher than 95 degrees Fahrenheit.” (which means that I need to stay indoors almost all summer in Las Vegas.)

What is your secret guilty pleasure?  Candy Crush!  I should have never downloaded it.

Leather or lace?  Lace
Black or red?    Black
Satin sheets or Egyptian cotton?   Cotton
Ocean or mountains?    Mountains
City life or country life?     City
Hunky heroes or average Joe?    Average Joe
Party life or quiet dinner for two?    Quiet dinner
Dogs or cats?     Dogs
I love pizza with _____.   Pineapple!
I'm always ready for _____.    An adventure!
When I'm alone, I _____. Love it!
You'd never be able to tell, but _____. I’m a nerd (well, maybe you can tell that).
If I could (fill in the blank) I'd _____.  Move, move to the Pacific Northwest!
I can never (fill in the blank) because _____. Get my house organized, I’m too OCD for my own good.  J

Book Excerpt
The rows of standing gravestones stared defiantly back at me like pale faces in a crowded hospital ward, each eager for attention.  But I was focused on only one patient in particular.  I would find his gravestone in the last row, fifth from the side, according to the annoyingly cheery caretaker I had spoken to on the phone earlier in the day when I’d pulled over at a rest stop.
I took a breath and stepped into the eerie yet comforting stillness, taking the walking path that led down the left side.  I glanced at the stones along the way, reading their names aloud to myself in quiet acknowledgment of the frailty of life.  There were approximately twenty rows, each with about forty stones across.  Empty spots were scattered here and there, patiently awaiting their future occupants.
I cleared my throat lightly and wiped my moist eyes with my sleeve.  Soon, the last row was upon me.  I paused.
Not ten feet beyond the last row of stones was the forest’s edge, the trees standing tall like a row of stiff soldiers awaiting inspection.  The moon lit the cemetery in a silver glow, but the forest remained a dense, black, foreboding curtain.  I felt a trickle of fear run down my spine but bravely ignored it, turning right and trekking the remaining few steps to the fifth stone in from the side.
“Madeline E. Sturgis.  Beloved Wife and Mother.”
No, that wasn’t correct, there had to be a mistake.  No offense to Madeline, of course.  I stared blankly at the stone, confused for a moment before recalling that I hadn’t asked which ‘side’ the caretaker was referring to when he gave me directions.  Perhaps he was referring to the other side?  I squinted at the long row of stones stretched out in front of me and began to walk toward the opposite end, glancing at the names as I passed so I wouldn’t miss it.
There was a barely audible crunching sound in the woods to my left, causing me to start and stand perfectly still, head cocked to the side, listening like a rabbit.  My heart raced, pounding heavily inside my chest, and I felt cold to my bones.
Stupid, Lauren, stupid!   You shouldn’t have come here.
I took a deep breath and let it out slowly.  It’s probably an animal.
I heard another light crunching sound in the trees, and a bird flew out suddenly, narrowly missing my head.  I caught my breath, bringing my hand up to my heart.  I breathed deeply for a minute, settling my nerves and letting my heart slow down before continuing.
I took the last few steps.
“You shouldn’t be here, Lauren.  Leave quickly.” The voice stopped me in my tracks.  It was David’s voice, in my head.  But, I shrugged it off and walked forward until I saw the new stone and the rectangle of earth in front of it that had noticeably less pine needles than the surrounding area.
I knelt beside it.
“David Alan Wagner.  Beloved Son, Brother and Friend.”  The lines of the letters were etched deep and black, contrasting heavily against the light grey stone.  I gently lay the roses down and traced the letters with my finger.  There was a cross carved below the words.  I ran my hand along the entire edge of the top of the stone, feeling the rough edges in contrast to the freshly polished front and back.  I wondered how long the stone had been there.  Dad assured me he had taken care of the funeral expenses, and he must have made sure there was a rush order on the headstone.  There was a fresh bouquet of white roses lying at the base of the stone and it made me feel deeply saddened for his family, as well as for him.  As much as dad irritated the living hell out of me with his overprotective gestures, if I had to disappear forever and have him think I was dead, it would break my heart.  After we lost mom, we were all the family we had.
I loved David with my whole heart.  Even though we had only been together for two of the six months that he was assigned to me, I knew that he was the “one”.  I just knew it.  There was no explanation.  And, I was the “one” for him as well.  But, now he was gone, and it was unlikely that I would see him again, at least not any time soon.
I reached up to trace the “D” again and saw a strange light flash across the polished surface of the stone, which I realized with horror to be a set of headlights.
Who would be coming to a graveyard at this hour? Besides me of course? Teenagers with a Ouija board and bottle of Strawberry Hill wine in tow, perhaps?
I could take no chances.  I could have been followed.

Loving the Scotsman ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #MSSWeek28 #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

It’s week 28 at My Sexy Saturday and welcome the sexiest Saturdays ever. The first week in December has been a cold one here in Vienna, Austria. Hope your week has been better and if not, that you’re keeping safe and warm during this winter season.

My Sexy Saturday is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we entertain you through our snippets that we post. This is for you, our readers, as we value and appreciate each one of you.

We’re in Chapter 3 of Loving the Scotsman still and I so hope you love this one. I really enjoyed writing it and believe me, it surprised me at times. Again, this is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero as all the books in the series will be. It’s a unique approach, and I love writing it! Here’s a little more about Loving the Scotsman: the lovers are being drawn together after 15 years apart and a pair of sexy underwear was the catalyst. I’m currently writing the second book of The MacKenzie Clan. Here are my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

My breathing came in long ragged breaths as I gasped for air. “Not fair,” I murmured, trying to keep my wits about me and dragging out the moment as much as I could. Wicked thoughts crept into my mind as I enjoyed what he did to me. He would get paid back in kind. Payback was one of the items Logan hated most, not to be able to control the situation when we made love. No matter how I wanted to deny the thought, it was true. We made love each time we touched each other. Our time together wasn’t just sex.

Loving The Scotsman ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #MSSWeek27 #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

It’s week 27 at My Sexy Saturday and welcome to one of the sexiest Saturdays ever. First, I hope that each of you who celebrate the American tradition of Thanksgiving had a very, very wonderful and happy time with your family. Also, I’d like to extend a Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate that holiday. Both are wonderful family times meant to bring people, near and far, together.

My Sexy Saturday is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we entertain you through our snippets that we post. This is for you, our readers, as we value and appreciate each one of you.

This week we’re still in my wonderful story Loving the Scotsman. We’ve in Chapter 3 and there is so much more to share with you. Again, this is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero as all the books in the series will be. It’s a unique approach, and I love it! Loving the Scotsman is this: the lovers are being drawn together after 15 years apart. I’m currently writing the second book of The MacKenzie Clan. Here are my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

And do what? I thought to myself. Just what exactly did I have planned for my life? It certainly wasn’t going like I thought fifteen years ago. Then, the world was my oyster, I knew exactly where I would be. Next to Logan, having his children, building a life together, doing something important that mattered to us both. It all came tumbling down due to circumstances beyond either one of our control. Yet, in many ways, the scar felt as fresh as the day the wound was made.

Loving the Scotsman ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #MSSWeek25 #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

It’s week 25 at My Sexy Saturday and welcome to one of the sexiest places ever.

Again, I’m here with My Sexy Saturday and it is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we entertain you through our snippets that we post. This is for you, our readers, as we value and appreciate each one of you.

I’m putting the final finished on my fabulous story Loving the Scotsman and putting together all the necessary information for the other books in the series. This is a three book package and I hope that it will be ready to present to editors by this January. This is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero as all the books in the series will be. It’s a unique approach,  and I love it! Here’s the rehash on Loving the Scotsman is this: the lovers are being drawn together after 15 years apart. This week we’re still Chapter 2 of the story and these are my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

I turned away from the window and slowly sat in the chair when my eyes caught something above his desk. I gasped, leaning forward to get a better look. In a beautiful display case were my underwear, artfully presented like any other piece I’d seen while walking through the penthouse. “What do you think you’re doing?” I finally managed to grind out through clenched teeth. This wasn’t funny one little bit.
Glancing at what I looked at, he returned his gaze to stare at me like a puma who played with his next meal. “I see you’ve noticed my latest trophy.”

Loving the Scotsman ~ You Sexy Thing ~ @oddlynn3 #Saturday7 #LynnCrain #MySexySaturday

It’s week 23 at My Sexy Saturday and welcome.

Though I’m back in Austria, I know I’m still jet-lagged. Sorry if it shows here but I promise to be back with it by next week. By then I will have passed the one day for every hour in time change thing and should be sleeping regular hours. Really, it does suck to wake up at 4 am, especially since you just fell asleep at midnight because where you were its early evening.

Now about MSS: My Sexy Saturday is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we aim to entertain readers through our snippets and excerpts posted. This is for our readers as we value and appreciate each one of you.

We’re still with my fabulous story Loving the Scotsman. Another bit of great news is that this wonderful story now has an agent and I expect it to be appearing at a bookstore near you in the future. Remember, you heard it here first! Again, this is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero. The lovers are being drawn together after 15 years apart. This week we’re still Chapter 2 of the story. Here’s my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

The underwear was a tool for him to use to get me right where he wanted me. In many ways, it was what I wanted too.
The really sad thing was I needed sex and needed it bad. The lovemaking had to be the whole act, not just an appetizer. I knew I would see Logan and immediately want to jump his bones. Maybe I could convince myself he was married. If that were true, there would be no reason my crotch would tingle from two nights ago. Logan was a lot of things but cheating would never be on his agenda.  I grasped at straws without success as I tried to think of another reason I should be here.

Loving the Scotsman ~ Wouldn't It Be Sexy ~ @oddlynn3 #Saturday7 #LynnCrain #MySexySaturday

It’s week 22 at My Sexy Saturday and I’d like to give you a warm welcome.

I’m back at my desk in Vienna, Austria this week. We had a wonderful time with family and friends for a couple of weeks. Still, it’s great to be at my own computer putting together a MSS post.

First, I just loved the Hot Mojave Knights conference. It was wonderful reconnecting with people I know and love. Being with other writers is one of the most exhilarating experiences that I know. I enjoyed each and every minute of it. Here’s a shout out to the wonderful authors and people from eXtasy Books: Adriana Kraft, Tina Haveman and Viola Grace to name a few. And I can't forget my BFF, Brynn McClain, who's a new author and was at her first conference with that moniker. I had a fabulous time!

Here’s the recap on MSS: My Sexy Saturday is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we aim to entertain readers through our snippets and excerpts posted. This is for our readers as we value and appreciate each one of you.

Also, to get you prime for a visit to Scotland, I’m including another picture from one of my wonderful trips there. It is one of the most wonderful places on earth and I wish everyone could visit it.

I am sharing another snippet from my finished book called Loving the Scotsman. I haven’t heard back from the agent but you all will be the first to know. Again, this is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero. The lovers are being drawn together after 15 years apart. This week we’re staring Chapter 2 of the story. Here’s my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

“Aye, it is. Again, may I help you?” The short, non-descript man stood there patiently as if I were the only person in the world.
I took a deep breath. Surely, Monica put down the address wrong. But I knew the print wasn’t hers. This couldn’t be where he lived, at least, not the man I knew.  “Does a Logan MacKenzie live here?”

Loving the Scotsman ~ Feel Like Making Sexy ~ #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #LynnCrain

It’s week 20 at My Sexy Saturday and welcome.

My Sexy Saturday is a weekly blog hop where authors share sexy snippets of their books with 7 words, 7 sentences or 7 paragraphs. Each week we aim to entertain readers through our snippets and excerpts posted. This is for our readers as we value and appreciate each one of you.

This is the second week of me sharing a snippet from a work in progress called Loving the Scotsman. The renovations are done and it is winging its way as I type to the desk of an agent. Keep your fingers crossed for me.  Again, this is a story told in 1st person POV from both the heroine and hero. It’s a unique approach and I hope you like it. Tthe lovers are being drawn together after a 15 year hiatus. We’re still in the first chapter of the story. The picture is another from Scotland. Here’s my sexy 7 sentences for the week. Enjoy!

Oh my God, it included a table and ten minutes alone with Logan? I closed my eyes. What the hell had I done to put me on a tabletop? How had I lost my underwear? I swallowed hard. I hadn’t been so drunk since I was a graduate student exploring the world. True, my life was boring as hell recently. No man held my attention. I actually received the nickname of “the love-’em-and-leave-’em lawyer” of the firm.

My Sexy Saturday ~ The Thing About Elves ~ @oddlynn3 #MSSWeek13

Welcome to the thirteenth week of My Sexy Saturday. Yeah, lucky 13!

My Sexy Saturday is going strong and each week more readers see our weekly blog, tweet our sexy tweets and read the words, snippets and excerpts posted. Sexy can happen anywhere: a hot tub, an elevator, your wedding night or even in the middle of the woods. Sexy can be that slow smile given across the room, reminding a lover who they belong to forever. Sexy can be the first time or the hundredth time...it all depends upon your perspective.

Everyone has their idea of sexy. A look, a touch, clothes on or off, it doesn’t matter. At My Sexy Saturday, authors will bring you their idea of sexy with seven words, seven sentences or seven paragraphs every week. And it’s all about the 7s…seven words, seven sentences or seven paragraphs.

This week we’re in book 2 of my Santa’s Elves series, The Thing About Elves. Angie, after being confronted by Ardan’s mother, realizes she has no where to go when Ardan steps in and asks her to come home with him. Here’s my sexy seven from this wonderful book. Enjoy!

Ardan allowed himself to be pushed away slightly. “Of course you’re going home with me. Where else would you go?”
“You’re right in stating that I don’t really have anywhere to go. But if you don’t really want me there, I’ll find someplace else.”
“Not want you? Good God, woman, how could a man not want you?” He frowned down at her. “I may never be able to work you out of my system.”
Not quite the romantic endearment she had hoped to hear, but one that gave her true hope at least. Angie stood on tiptoes and kissed him gently.
“Remember… you’re an elf-man… something that you continually remind me of constantly. I suppose that gives you an edge on getting me out of your system.”
“Alright, you win. Still…I want you…will you please come home with me?”
She jerked her eyes to his. His voice had sounded so vulnerable, so unlike the elf-man she had come to know. Gazing at him, she realized that his defenses had slammed down the moment he grasped his mistake. Breathing deeply, no matter what her decision, one of them might get hurt. True, she wanted him more than anything she had ever wanted in her life. She just wasn’t sure how long it would take to make him want more than just her body.

My Sexy Saturday ~ The Thing About Elves ~ @oddlynn3 #MSSWeek12

Welcome to the twelfth week of My Sexy Saturday.

I’m a longer is better kind of gal…so I’m in for the seven paragraphs this week. Or rather, I should say…again…but I’m from Nevada and sevens are always so lucky! The more you get them, the better is is…LOL!

This week we’re in book 2 of my Santa’s Elves series, The Thing About Elves. Ardan has made love to Angie, and wonders if he’s made a mistake. I know just from the way he looks at her, she’s the one for him. He’s just a little slow to see it. Here’s my sexy seven from the morning after. Enjoy!

My god, what have I done? Lying in bed, wrapped around the woman he had made glorious love to for most of the night, Ardan doubted his wisdom. This would be worse than before. This time there had been magic…strong elven magic…whereas last time it had been weak, almost nonexistent. This was different and he knew it. This was something he could never forget. He vaguely remembered thinking that last night as he carried her to his bed.
Trying to move slightly, he was surprised that Angie moved closer and snuggled into him even more. Pulling back the covers, he decided the least he could do was inspect his prize. Last night he had been too wrapped up in the sex to appreciate her body. He was amazed. Skin like alabaster, he noted and then he marveled that while she was tiny, her limbs appeared long and lean. Luscious globes with mauve aureoles lay across her chest. He would definitely have to pay more attention to those today.
Reaching down, he gently caressed the curve of one breast, swirling a finger around its peak. As if feeling his adoration, the aureole tightened in response and his hand slipped lower. He breathed quickly, watching her body react to him. His sharp intake of breath threatened to rouse her and he didn’t want that to happen just yet. He wanted to admire her for just a little longer.
Turning her gently away from him, he rolled her completely to her back. The tiny thatch in the v at the top of her legs was trimmed and neat. Her belly had the gentle swell of womanhood, not the flatness that so many women tried to achieve. But his eyes were soon drawn to her face, with the pouty mouth, finely arched brows and high cheekbones. He knew that under those closed eyelids lay the most impressive violet eyes he had ever seen and they were natural. And he was sure he had seen the magic reflected in them last night.
Slipping his arm under her upper body, he began to gently caress her face. “Angie. Angie, wake up.”
While he wasn’t sure that this was going to last forever, he’d make damn sure he took advantage of the situation as long as he could.
* * * *
The dream was beautiful and she didn’t want to wake up. Ardan held her in his arms and told her that….

My Sexy Saturday ~ The Thing About Elves ~ @oddlynn3 #MSSWeek11

Welcome to the eleventh week of My Sexy Saturday.

We all know everyone has their idea of sexy. A look, a touch, with clothes on or off, it doesn’t matter. Each week, authors will bring you their idea of sexy with seven words, seven sentences or seven paragraphs. I’m from Nevada and sevens are always so lucky!

This week we’re in book 2 of my Santa’s Elves series, The Thing About Elves. Ardan has taken Angie home, and is now seducing her ever so gently. Here’s my sexy seven from when they consummate their love. Enjoy!

She couldn’t even rouse herself out of the daze her orgasm had caused when she felt a burning sensation spread through her loins. Gasping, she spread herself even wider. The man was huge and filled her completely. Never before had she felt this full, this whole. Ardan didn’t move for a few moments.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered.
Angie opened wide eyes to him. “Whatever for?”
“I’ve hurt you.”
“You’ve filled me,” she stated and reached for his face. “And that will never hurt.”
Color began to swirl in the depths of his eyes and she knew it was magic. Gradually, he began to move and the colors that she had seen began to swirl around them. Soon, they were dancing around them, embracing them like a galaxy out of control. Angie opened herself more to him, allowing him greater access and depth. Soon, she panted as much as he while watching the colors flow round and through them. His cock did a slow dance inside her, making her feel even different than before.
“Beautiful,” she breathed, “and magical.”

My Sexy Saturday ~ The Thing About Elves ~ @oddlynn3 #MSSWeek10

Welcome to the tenth week of My Sexy Saturday.

Everyone has their idea of sexy. It can be a look, a touch and with clothes on or off. Each week, authors will bring you their idea of sexy with seven words, seven sentences or seven paragraphs. Let the sevens begin!

This week we’re still in the second book of my Santa’s Elves series, The Thing About Elves. Ardan has taken Angie home, told her a beautiful legend and is now seducing her ever so gently Here’s my sexy seven paragraphs from this wonderful book! Enjoy!

Pushing her onto the couch, he sat down beside her heavily. Sighing, he slowly turned to face her. Reaching out his hand, he lifted her braid from her shoulder. “May I?”
Not trusting herself to speak, Angie could only nod. His hands were so gentle, she didn’t even wince when he pulled the rubber band from her hair that she had so hastily put in what seemed like hours ago. Her hair was long, but she had never really considered just how long. She was able to watch his hands unwind the braid ever so easily. Once completed, he ran his long fingers through her hair.
“Beautiful,” he breathed, “just beautiful.” He buried his face into the ebony tresses for a few seconds before lifting them and pressing his lips against her neck.
She shivered with delight and pulled his head close. Leaning back onto the couch, she drew him with her. Tugging his head away from her neck, she forced him to take her lips. Returning kiss for kiss, she opened her mouth to allow him easy access to all she had to offer. Caressing wherever her hands touched, she was amazed at how soft and warm his skin felt to her fingertips. This was what she had yearned for; this was what she had wanted.
All her nerve endings tingled with desire. Gently, she pulled his bottom lip into her mouth and gently sucked on it. His weight shifted until he lay fully on top of her. She could feel his unrestrained desire pressing against her leg. As if to show her intention, she moved his hand over her lips and tugged one of his digits into her mouth, sucking on it voraciously without control. And she knew exactly what she did to him.
“Touch me,” he whispered, “really touch me.”
The simple request surprised her. “Alright.”
