Our Sexy New Year ~ @oddlynn3 #LynnCrain #MySexySaturday #MySexyAuthors #MSS123

Welcome to week 123rd week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Our Sexy New Year. This theme can mean a lot to a person. It can mean a year full of resolutions and goals. It could mean a year full of love with that special someone. And for some, it could be not so good but they are hopeful as the first month rolls in.
While I don’t have a story specifically about the New Year, I do have a series that’s all about hope and love and new beginnings. The series is my Santa’s Elves series and I can’t wait to finish it out this year. But for this week, I’ll be posting something from the fifth story in the series, An Elf’s Magic. This is definitely one of my favorite series and I can’t wait to get back into it.

There will be a Monday’s Austria Scoop and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life this week as I’m back from taking a total vacation because of the holidays. It’s good to be back but I am super busy and you’ll get the whole scoop on it this week.

The $25 Amazon Gift Certificate is still up for grabs. I will give it out on Sunday, January 31, 2016. So comment often for a chance that at wonderful gift.

This week’s story is An Elf’s Magic. It’s the 5th book in the series about a special elf family that runs Santa’s workshop. Here’s the setup:

Lacey Sinclair wants to be a doctor but life and circumstance has made that path impossible.  Given the chance at the job of a lifetime and the promise of enough money to see her through med school, she is hesitant. Something draws her to one certain man that she can’t put her finger on. Her body is alive and her mind sharp, focused when she’s near him. So before she can live the life of her dreams, she must discover just who Cuinn Lochlin is to her and her future.

Here’s my seven paragraphs from An Elf’s Magic:

“Ah, hell—” Cuinn swooped down on her and captured her lips with his. He couldn’t help himself. From the moment she walked into the conference room that morning, all he could think about was having her in his arms. He should have told his father at the wedding last year about his desire for her, but her place hadn’t cemented in his heart yet. Now there would be no stopping their bonding.
Gently, he pulled back and gazed at her. “I’ll stop if you want me to.”
Lacey quickly shook her head. “No. I’ve never felt something so right.” She pulled his head back to her and his lips captured hers with no tenderness this time, just a hard, raw need.
Still, he knew she needed tender after what had happened to her this past year. Changing the tone of his onslaught, Cuinn gently sucked her bottom lip and ran his hands softly down her arms. Rewarded with a slight shiver, his body tightened in response to her body’s signals as his caress slipped around to her soft buttocks.
The rapid beat of her heart drummed against him, showing how aroused she truly was. She would be the core of his world and he wanted everything to be right for their first time, so trying hard to remember all the lessons on sex from his father. First, he put up his shields knowing some people in the city would feel the energy. Then, he snapped the glamour spell more firmly around himself because there were some things she couldn’t know until they had reached the North Pole. Cuinn only hoped she would forgive him once all had been revealed.
Breaking off the kiss, he breathed hard as he gently cupped her face in his hands. “Tell me to stop right now and I will because you have to be very, very sure you want this to happen.”
“I am…believe me…I am,” she whispered.

Our Sexy Holidays ~ @oddlynn3 #LynnCrain #MySexySaturday #MySexyAuthors #MSS122

Welcome to week 122nd week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Our Sexy Holidays and all I can think is that Christmas is coming. It’s a very, very sexy time of year. And I love it.

Now, I don’t have to go very far to come up with a story for this time of year. One of my very first stories is about Santa and some very special elves. It’s a story I loved to write and have just a few books left to complete the series.

There will be a Monday’s Austria Scoop and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life this week as I’ll be taking a total vacation from most internet posting because of the holidays.

Don’t forget to comment by Tuesday, December 22nd as I will be giving away a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate on that day. So comment often for a chance that at wonderful gift.

This week’s novella is The View From Santa’s Sleigh. It’s the series about a special elf family that runs Santa’s workshop. Here’s the setup:

Tessa, very let down by love, is surprised to find herself comforted by the red-suited man himself on Christmas Eve. Thinking that he is the figment of her slightly tipsy mind, she pours her heart out to him hoping for just a little love, understanding and a good sexual encounter. Tessa gets more than she bargained for with an elf named Jedrick and both get the Christmas present of a lifetime. In only a short time, they find themselves realizing their love is for more than just the holiday season and more than just the sexual romp they had envisioned.
But Tessa has obligations in the real world and Jedrick needs to begin designs for next year. He gives Tessa a very special locket, telling her to use it anytime and he will come right away. Once back in her world, Tessa finds it has lost its charm and knows that her place is with the elf she loves, Jedrick. Their very humorous love-story is told amidst the backdrop of a post Christmas North Pole and the winter in Reno.

Here’s my seven paragraphs from The View From Santa’s Sleigh:

“Eggther, sometimes an opportunity to do a wonderful thing comes up. Sometimes you can give a present to two people. Sometimes it isn’t about sex.”
“Santa…,” he warned.
“Now don’t start…you know as much as I do that Jedrick deserves something very special this year. And this young woman does too.”
“Santa, bringing him home a woman isn’t going to solve anything. You just said it wasn’t about sex.”
Santa sat up straight. “That’s where I think your wrong, Eggie, a woman is just the thing. The man doesn’t feel like he belongs any more. He doesn’t have the same drive and the toys he’s been creating…well, they just aren’t up to our usual standards. In the long run both you and I know it isn’t about the sex but maybe for him, it is all about the sex just this once.”
“Santa…he’ll find a girl…someone will love him,” Eggther began.
“How in the world is a six foot four elf going to find a woman when there aren’t any around for him?” Santa stared at Eggther. “No normal elf woman would ever look at him, you know it.  Sex…now that’s just out of the question! He needs one his size.”

My Sexy Saturday ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #LynnCrain #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors

Welcome to week 109th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is My Sexy Girlfriend. I have to say that every one of my stories has a sexy girlfriend somewhere in them. This definitely makes my job harder each week. I try to showcase something different every week but I swear, I’m running out of things…LOL…but it’s only because I have so many new projects in the works.

Just a friendly reminder, don’t forget to visit Monday’s Austria Scoop and a Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life columns this week. Summer is finally over here and I’m getting back in the swing of things with planning and such. I just love the Fall season as I finally get back into writing mode albeit slowly some days. Still, check me out on Monday and Tuesday to get the full scoop of just what’s been happening to me.

Today’s story is one that I’m totally excited about even though I wrote it almost ten years ago now. It was one of the first stories I wrote for eXtasy Books and I have to get working on finishing the series. The girl in the story, Tessa, is quite sexy but she doesn’t really know it and always falls for the wrong people. This time, she’s going to fall for the right one in a big way. By doing that she thrusts herself into a world few know exist and even fewer get the privilege to visit it. Here’s the set up:

Here’s my seven sexy paragraphs from the book A View From Santa’s Sleigh:

“You’re every elf’s dream, and the best present I’ve ever received. I want to be in you…I want to be in you now,” he whispered, waiting for her response.
Tessa wiggled under him, desperate for the closeness that he wanted. “Yes,” she answered. “I want that too…more than anything.”
Gently, Jedrick pushed her knees apart and lowered himself between them, seeking entrance into her slick folds. “You need to be very sure about this,” he said, looking deeply into her eyes.
Tessa gazed up at him with unresolved passion. She loved the way the firelight played on his hair as it swung around them, embracing them in its warmth. Reaching up, she touched his face, caressing the tightness etched into every line. “I am very sure. I want you.”
Little by little, he pushed his large shaft into her tight sheath. “You are so tight,” he murmured. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You won’t,” she assured him, arching her body to meet his thrusts. “Please…come closer.”
He levied his body to lie on top of hers, his skin glistening with small drops of perspiration. He leaned down and took her face in his hands. Unhurried, he kissed her, resting his forehead on hers. “Are you really sure this is what you want?” he asked again.

My Sexy Saturday ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #LynnCrain #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors

Welcome to week 105th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is My Sexy Boyfriend. In most of my books, I don’t really have a boyfriend type guy. To me, those are the guys that the heroine would date and in many of my stories, the two have never met until the start of the book. Not that I don’t have my heroes woo the heroines, I do but just not in a traditional boyfriend-girlfriend type of way. So, I hope you enjoy the book I did choose.

My blog is normally hopping with Monday’s Austria Scoop where I talk about Austria and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life where I talk writing and life. I say normally because this past month has been anything but normal. The summer has been hot with lots of humidity and when it’s that way, I don’t want to do a thing. Add to that a staycation where my husband and I did things close to home for 5 wonderful days and you have some of your reasons for me not being in a participatory mood.

Today’s story is one that I really loved writing. It’s part of my Santa’s Elves series and involves one of the family’s sassy cousins who really wants to be in on the family secrets. Here’s the setup:

Giselle Paine has always been on the outside looking in on her elven cousins. Just once she wished she could belong to something bigger than herself. But fate has a way of weaving its web and when handsome elf Ronan Munro arrives on her doorstep after a vicious attack, she knows exactly what she wants. But convincing Ronan is another thing. What will it take to bring him around to her way of thinking and into her bed?

Here’s my seven sexy paragraphs from Giselle’s Elf:

“With you.” She shrugged her shoulders, trying to remove his hands.
But he couldn’t let go. “Why? I’ve done nothing to you except be here to make sure no one attacks you again. And tried to bring you back to the world of the living.”
She chewed her bottom lip as if deciding what to say. When she did speak, it was in a low whisper and he had to lean closer to her to even hear. “If all I am to you is a responsibility you don’t want, why do you always smell so good? Why do you always look so damn sexy? Get away from me if all you want is to teach me a lesson. I’ve had enough lessons in my life.”
His hands immediately fell to his sides. This was his moment of truth. A decision to be made, to deny himself. “What are you talking about?”
“Huh.” She looked up at him wryly. “Go away. I don’t want you around because you have to be. Be here because you want to and nothing else. Even if we never...”
Giselle tried to shove past him but he wasn’t giving up so easily. He really felt she should get it all out so she – they could move forward. Making up his mind in a split second, he knew what he had to do. It was her wellbeing that mattered not his. Grabbing her arm, he pulled her so she was faced away from him. Her perfume wafted up and drifted through his senses, a warm earthy smell, so unlike what he thought she would wear. And he knew he was lost. Leaning in, her hair touched his face as light as an angel’s wing. “What is it you want, Giselle?”
“Who wants to know? Ronan, the protector or Ronan, the man?” she whispered.

Like I said, this story is part of my wonderful Santa’s Elves series and takes place in Boston. Elves are one of my most favorite magical creatures and I just can’t wait until the next one comes out. Yeah, I’ve got a couple more stories in this world to do and I’m hoping to have them done this year for release sometime next year. Keep your fingers crossed.

A Long Sexy Time ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors #LynnCrain

Welcome to week 86th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is A Long Sexy Time and  it was noted this theme would mean different things for each authors. Before we get into today’s snippet, don’t forget to visit on Monday for Monday’s Austria Scoop where I talk all about life in Vienna, Austria and Tuesday for My So-Called Writing Life where I talk about the fact being a writer isn’t all limos and tiaras.

When deciding about what story I would use this week, I realized I was going to cheat and would be adding more than just one snippet. Yes, I know this is against the rules, I made them, but it’s not often that I get to admire a couple who had never had their own story. At least not yet. In my Santa’s Elves series, there is a couple who are mentioned at least once in every book. This couple have been together a long sexy time and their love shines through everything they do. From how they raised their children to how they dealt with each of them falling in love. Sometime in the future, we’ll see how they deal with their grandchildren and we’ll even see how they started it all.

So, today, let me share three separate snippets from three books. If you haven’t read anything on my Santa’s Elves series, you can find earlier bits and snippets here:

Week 85    Week 77    Week 74    Week 73    Week 72     Week 69     Week 68
Week 63     Week 59    Week 56

Can’t you tell I just love this series? LOL! The first snippet this week comes from the story An Elf’s Magic:

He nodded his head in the general direction of his parents and her gazed followed. At a table away from most people sat Janice and Bevan. Bevan held his wife’s hand tenderly and their heads came together as they talked. Even without knowing they were married, she would have understood they meant something to each other. The way he looked at her and her him, the gentle touches, the soft little kisses. They had something very special.
“Will it be like that for us?”
He looked at her surprised. “For us?”
She turned and looked at him. “You know, for us. They’ve been together how long?”
“I guess thirty five years or so, I mean Jedrick is almost thirty four. They always celebrate their anniversary in the spring. But I don’t even know when they got married.”
She smiled. “Look at them and not with the eye of their son. Those two people are in love, really in love. They will die in each other’s arms. We should be so lucky.” She turned back to see him swallow hard. “Sorry, but it’s how I see them.”
“Until you commented on them being in love, I never thought about them as anything other than my mother and father.”

The second snippet comes from The View From Santa’s Sleigh:

“He’s got to grow up sometime, Janice,” her husband said in a quite voice.
“But this way, Bevan?” she questioned, turning to look into his deep blue eyes. “Surely not this way.”
“What way is that, Janice?” Santa’s question intruded upon their conversation.
Janice turned sad eyes toward him. “Santa, what is going on?” she questioned tensely.
The old man drew himself up and sighed. “I brought home a present for Jedrick,” his normally calm voice boomed into the tense silence of the room.
“A what?” Janice asked.
“Really?” Bevan questioned, beaming, only looking serious when his wife threw a scathing glance in his direction.

And my final snippet comes from The Thing About Elves:

“Well…you had something to do with the first one…and she brought this second one!” Janice cried. The small woman stood there defiantly, arms crossed over her chest.
“I thought we’d decided that whatever our children did had nothing to do with Santa or him bringing Tessa home in the first place?” a calm voice questioned from the door.
“You might have.” She turned and faced the man standing in the doorway of Santa’s office.
“Our children have their own lives, Janice. And that includes sex. We always knew and hoped that each of them would find a mate one day.”
Janice rubbed her head. “God…why does elf sex have to be so magical?”
“Would you want it any other way, wife?”
Looking at her husband, a slow smile spread across her face. “Absolutely not.” She stood there for a moment. “But that still doesn’t change what’s happened.”

All these books are novellas, short to long, and is one of my very favorite series ever. They were all published by my traditional ePublisher, eXtasy Books, who happens to have a lot of my books on sale at their website. If you’ve never read any of my stories, now’s the time to get them at a great discount and see if I write stories you might like. Matter of fact, quite a few in the series are on sale. Their Sexy Thoughts ~ @oddlynn3 #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #LynnCrain #MSSAuthors

Welcome to week 77th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is Their Sexy Thoughts.  I’ve thought long and hard on this one since my characters think a lot. Sometimes about their significant other, sometimes about the situation at hand. Thoughts can be deceptive because many times, our characters are trying to convince themselves that they don’t want to fall in love, that there is nothing the other person has to offer them. They are wrong, so wrong. So follow along this week as each of the authors in this blog hop gives you their interpretation of sexy through the thoughts of their characters.

Last week was great as my father’s meager estate did get finalized and items closed. It was definitely the passing of an era and it makes me very sad in many ways. Though here in Austria, the weather cooperated in many ways and gave me a few snow days. Not that it stayed on the ground at all but there were a few evenings where it looked as if we lived in a snow globe. I’m hoping for more but the score is out on that one since the forecast has not been correct in many days. It’s like the weathermen can’t predict the weather any more.

As promised, I did start a multi-day post on my Facebook author page where I tell you five things about myself that aren’t necessarily common knowledge. I started that when I said I would and have been hit or miss on any given day. I think I’m trying to give people more time to look at it since Facebook doesn’t play nice with posts any more. Though I have a fair share of followers, it seems that maybe just 10% see what I post. If I’m lucky. I’ll be posting the last entry later today yesterday and I’ll see if any of you have commented on it. If enough of you have, I will do a giveaway for a $25 Amazon gift certificate AND a copy of one of my books. For every comment you leave, even if it’s on days past, will be another entry into the drawing. Hope to see a few of you there.

Today, the weather in Austria is beautiful, so I plan a day at the Naschmarkt to get some fresh veggies and fruit. There was a protest scheduled here yesterday that we were told would result in street riots. Thank goodness the weather didn’t cooperate for that one. It was cold and wet as the snow came down to melt immediately due to the warm temperature. I was home alone last night and didn’t hear a thing until right before I was to take out Pup Harry for his nightly walk. Then the helicopters started swirling around. So I waited a few then a few more and would have done it again but Pup Harry was dancing. He’d had enough and needed to go. So off we went to eerily quiet streets. We only saw two other people with their dogs and no one else. Either everyone was snug at home or watching the protest. I went home happy we didn’t get caught in something bad.

My new weekly column, My Writing Life, will be starting this week on Tuesday, not last week and I apologize for misinforming you. Besides not being on time, I can’t tell the date either. If you’re wondering about the time reference, go see my Facebook author page to get the explanation. I will talk about my spreadsheets and why they are personally important to me. There will be other tidbits about my life as well because as we all know, it’s not all about writing. No, there are no tiaras for me as I will prove over and over again writing can be a tough business if you don’t have a thick skin.

This week I am sharing something new. It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared this book. It’s part of the Santa’s Elves series. This whole series is about a family of elves who work for Santa and their lives. It’s not all toys, sleighs and happy tidings. No, there are things even in their world they would love to change. The main stories are all about the siblings in the Locklin family where the mother is human and the father is an elf. However, as I wrote this series, it became obvious to me that the world they inhabited was bigger than just the six siblings. They had human cousins, elf friends and a whole lot more that could be said. One of those stories is this one, Giselle’s Elf, and is all about their cousin, Giselle Paine. I hope you like this glimpse into the world of Santa’s Elves.

I love writing the Santa’s Elves series because their world is very rich and deep. It spans the globe from the US to the North Pole and to Scotland. I leave no stone unturned as I write these stories about a globe-hopping elven family. I plan to have the last of the siblings’ stories done this year with a few more to round out the world. I hope you enjoy my seven. And I’ll be honest, I cheated this time as I had to give you one final line this week. Hopefully, you’ll find this snippet compelling enough to pick up the first in the series, The View from Santa’s Sleigh, at eXtasy Books. Enjoy the snippet!

With me?” Now he was surprised. He had acted like a professional, like an elf should when his charge was human. Maybe he had pushed a little too hard but he thought it would help her in the long run by making her remember just who she was.
