Welcome to week 108^th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Talk Sexy To Me. Oh boy, do I love this theme. Most of my characters talk sexy to each other but recently, the ones that I really love are in a WIP called Angels and Demons. This is part of The JR Chronicles that I’ve been working on this summer. I really love this series as I am working on Serenity’s journals as well as some short stories for each of the months in those journals.

The journals and the short stories are a way for me to really know and understand these characters. It makes me very excited when I’m working on them and I get that wonderful, tingly feeling writers get when they are really excited about their work. It’s extremely important for us to feel that way and this book has me in spades.

Today’s story is one that I’m totally excited about like I mentioned. I love how it ebbs and flows. I’ll be honest, I haven’t worked on a blurb or anything like a logline with this story yet. The best way I can describe this series is what Serenity told me to put under her ‘About Me’ box on The JR Chronicles website. Here’s what she had to say:

Ever wonder what's on the other side?

Well, don't. It's not necessarily the fantasyland most people imagine. It's more complicated than that. I should know, I visit more often than just about everyone.

The only difference is I live to tell the tale.

Then there’s Jasper. Oh, my, he’s the kind of guy a girl wants to bump pelvises with and never look back. There’s just one minor problem. He’s a ghost who’s still blamed for a 150 year old set of murders that he had nothing to do with.

So instead of him doing the deed and talking dirty to me, I have to prove him innocent. Then maybe – just maybe – he’ll give into those things he says he doesn’t feel.

His raspy sound told me again of this displeasure as his fingers ran over the raised flesh. “I told you there were other ways. You didn’t have to mar your beautiful skin to make sure we were protected.”

“If you remember, I most certainly did.” I stood there, quivering at his touch. We’d been here many times and it would only take a little shove to make it all go another way.

“We can’t do this, Serenity. Not now, not ever.”

“Why not?” I whispered. “We could enjoy ourselves and…”

“Pretend it didn’t happen?” Barely moving, his head went from side to side. “I could never dishonor you so. We’ve talked about this.”

I closed my eyes, the sensation of his touch making me tingle all over. “How many times have I told you? In this day and age you wouldn’t be dishonoring me at all. We’d have some fun, get our frustrations out over the case then continue working together. Just like we always do.”

“It’s not that easy for me, Serenity.” His eyes darkened and as much as he held back, I knew he wanted to bump pelvises too.

Welcome to week 105^th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is My Sexy Boyfriend. In most of my books, I don’t really have a boyfriend type guy. To me, those are the guys that the heroine would date and in many of my stories, the two have never met until the start of the book. Not that I don’t have my heroes woo the heroines, I do but just not in a traditional boyfriend-girlfriend type of way. So, I hope you enjoy the book I did choose.

My blog is normally hopping with Monday’s Austria Scoop where I talk about Austria and Tuesday’s My So-Called Writing Life where I talk writing and life. I say normally because this past month has been anything but normal. The summer has been hot with lots of humidity and when it’s that way, I don’t want to do a thing. Add to that a staycation where my husband and I did things close to home for 5 wonderful days and you have some of your reasons for me not being in a participatory mood.

Today’s story is one that I really loved writing. It’s part of my Santa’s Elves series and involves one of the family’s sassy cousins who really wants to be in on the family secrets. Here’s the setup:

Giselle Paine has always been on the outside looking in on her elven cousins. Just once she wished she could belong to something bigger than herself. But fate has a way of weaving its web and when handsome elf Ronan Munro arrives on her doorstep after a vicious attack, she knows exactly what she wants. But convincing Ronan is another thing. What will it take to bring him around to her way of thinking and into her bed?

Here’s my seven sexy paragraphs from Giselle’s Elf:

“With you.” She shrugged her shoulders, trying to remove his hands.

But he couldn’t let go. “Why? I’ve done nothing to you except be here to make sure no one attacks you again. And tried to bring you back to the world of the living.”

She chewed her bottom lip as if deciding what to say. When she did speak, it was in a low whisper and he had to lean closer to her to even hear. “If all I am to you is a responsibility you don’t want, why do you always smell so good? Why do you always look so damn sexy? Get away from me if all you want is to teach me a lesson. I’ve had enough lessons in my life.”

His hands immediately fell to his sides. This was his moment of truth. A decision to be made, to deny himself. “What are you talking about?”

“Huh.” She looked up at him wryly. “Go away. I don’t want you around because you have to be. Be here because you want to and nothing else. Even if we never...”

Giselle tried to shove past him but he wasn’t giving up so easily. He really felt she should get it all out so she – they could move forward. Making up his mind in a split second, he knew what he had to do. It was her wellbeing that mattered not his. Grabbing her arm, he pulled her so she was faced away from him. Her perfume wafted up and drifted through his senses, a warm earthy smell, so unlike what he thought she would wear. And he knew he was lost. Leaning in, her hair touched his face as light as an angel’s wing. “What is it you want, Giselle?”

“Who wants to know? Ronan, the protector or Ronan, the man?” she whispered.

Like I said, this story is part of my wonderful Santa’s Elves series and takes place in Boston. Elves are one of my most favorite magical creatures and I just can’t wait until the next one comes out. Yeah, I’ve got a couple more stories in this world to do and I’m hoping to have them done this year for release sometime next year. Welcome to week 103rd week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is A Very Sexy Time. Once again, I feel that all my stories have some very sexy times in them. However, I think this one has a very unusual setting for a very sexy time. The scene I’ll be sharing today takes place in a barn. Not just any barn but one from the 1880s. Some reminders first…

Both can be incredibly boring or incredibly exciting. Some weeks it’s a little bit of both. Last week I talked about an Austrian wedding for the Austria Scoop and somehow, My So-Called Writing Life post never showed. I had apparently scheduled it for this week. I really shouldn’t work when I have a headache…but check out the blog as I might just cover that.

Today’s story is one that has a very special place in my heart. I know you all are tired of hearing just how much I love Scotland. I do and really wish I could live there. This story has won awards and is just an all-around great story about a woman doctor whose husband is haunting her to move on with her life. Here’s the setup:

Maggie Grey had wanted to be a doctor all her life. She achieved her dream along with her husband, Justin. Together they planned to build a clinic on his ancestral home on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. But women doctors in the year 1882 didn’t have many options and even fewer if they were widowed like she had been recently. Arriving in England to visit Elizabeth Blackwell, founder of the London Medical School for Woman, she is discouraged to find that the only real health care on the remote Isle of Skye will be herself, a few aging doctors as well as veterinary doctors.

But she must build a clinic there to escape her memories and fulfill her late husband’s dream. Maggie goes by train and boat to the rather bleak Isle of Skye. The island is almost as barren as she feels and she isn’t sure if she can even fit in. Add the fact that her dead husband is haunting her with the request for her to fall in love again and she knows she’s losing her mind.

But the people of Skye need her…and she is determined not to let them down...but they are slow to accept a widowed woman doctor. Now if she were married again…that would be a different matter…and her dead husband, Justin, knows just the right man for the job, Conall MacGryman, his childhood friend and cousin, a veterinary for the island. Now all Justin has to do is to convince Maggie to give the man a chance so she can fall in love again…for both their sakes.

Here’s my seven sexy paragraphs from The Haunting of Maggie Grey:

“Fine.” His hands shook from the cold and his fingers clumsy as he tried to undo the buttons.

Shaking her head, Maggie pushed his frozen fingers out of the way and undid each one as if it were a seductive dance. With the last one free, she walked around him and, standing on tiptoes, eased the heavy coat from his shoulders. Placing it next to hers on the cow pen, she turned, surprised to find he was right behind her. She leaned heavily into the wood, trying to still her fast beating heart.

* * * *

“Maggie,” the seductive whisper of her name brought her soft brown eyes to glance quickly at him. “Do not turn away from me, girl.” His hand curled completely around her head, filing his palm as if she were a small child, holding her where he wanted. He was so large and she was so small. Never had he felt like he held a fine piece of fragile porcelain. Winding his fingers into the silk of her hair, he slowly, he forced her to face him, gazing deeply in her brown eyes. “I am going to kiss yeu now.”

He lowered his lips to hers, devouring her bottom lip in one swoop. Nibbling at the edges, he gained access to her mouth and groaned. Conall did not want to scare her off. But he needed her in the worst way and he was sure if she would just press herself against him, she would feel his hard shaft, would know his body wanted her much in the same way he was sure she wanted him. They had danced around each other for two months, but the woman acted like a virgin instead of the widow he knew her to be. The deep red color of her hair should indicate her passion ran hot instead of the shyness she displayed with him on many occasions.

“Open up completely, girl,” he whispered even more seductively than the first time as he softened his mouth to stroke against her soft lips. He was surprised when it took little prompting on his part to get her to open her mouth as his tongue slid in.

Neither of them was naive as to what happened between a man and a woman. He had wanted her from the moment he saw her at the train station in her widow’s robes. He’d known she’d suffered a great loss and knew he must bide his time until she was ready to give herself to him. The storm had provided the perfect situation for them to be together and if she was willing, he would take full advantage of the situation.

He only prayed she felt the same about him as he did about her.

This story starts in Boston where Maggie is grieving for her husband and the loss of their life plans. She’s compelled by that dead husband to go to Scotland where the two lovers meet. Welcome to week 102^nd week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Our Sexy Place. All my stories use some exotic locale, so they are pretty easy to find within my computer. Today, I’ll take you on a special journey but first…

Today’s story is one that is part of a work-in-progress called One True Love. I got this idea because in my mind, everyone deserves to find their one true love. And that includes the paranormal world. Enter heroine Elizabeth Cameron and every paranormal on the planet will find their own true love through her One True Love Paranormal Matchmaking service. Never mind that she knows her chance has past. Or has it?

I didn’t plan to start the series with Elizabeth. Her story just screamed louder at me. Here’s the setup:

Come one, come all and let paranormal matchmaker Elizabeth Cameron find your one true love. We have a lovely variety that will make your eternity the bliss you desire.

Paranormal matchmaker Elizabeth Cameron had seen it all in her life. But the one constant was the fact it proved damned hard to find your one true love if you were paranormal. Hers had been lost to her when she was a young woman, newly turned from a shy girl to a bold and brazen lass. Since that day over 500 years ago, she’d been alone. Sure there had been dalliances along the way but she had never found someone to spend her life with at all. She vowed to never let another paranormal share her fate.

Here’s my seven sexy paragraphs from One True Love:

He walked in the door, drawing all eyes in the room toward him as I sat at the front desk. The normal help, one Selene Montgomery, hadn’t arrived and the appointment book was a mess with all her codes and colors next to individual names. How one could work this way was beyond me but somehow we managed here at One True Love Paranormal Matchmaking.

Coming to stand next to the desk, my mouth gaped. O.M.G. It couldn’t be. My mind shifted from past to present in a flash. Same dark hair, same blue eyes, same tilt of his chin, same… Stop it, my mind chided, it’s not happened in 500 years, so why now?

“Could you please tell your boss I’m here?”

Same cockiness.

“And just what should I say?” Keeping all emotion from my voice since his very appearance strung me tight.

“That I don’t have any time to waste.”

I leaned back smiling. This would be fun. “You’ve already told her.” A smile curved the corners of my lips as the shock registered.

This story starts in Scotland where the two lovers meet. It moves to the shores of the United States and could be any town USA. I just haven’t picked the one yet. Still, lovers can always go to that special place if they so choose. All they need is each other.

Welcome to week 99^th week of My Sexy Saturday. This week’s theme is Keeping It Sexy and again, it was left wide open as far as genre goes. My understanding of the theme is that it is all about the special things lovers do for one another. Things like special vacations, the little things during the day, a ride in a spaceship or going to the spa and even seeing their first house built. While I really don’t have much in the way of these types of encounters, I did manage to find one to fit the theme.

Today’s story is one that I’m doing a re-edit on for my traditional epublisher, eXtasy Books. It was part of a wonderful anthology called Atlantis Allure that was filled with great stories. They decided to release each of the stories separated because some authors opted out and that’s fine with me. The stories were all about the fabled city of Atlantis. I’m not going to say any more than that as everyone has their own conclusions about the fabled city.  This particular passage is from the prologue of the story and here’s the set up:

In her disabled submersible, Lindsay Lanigan sits on the sea floor thinking about her lover Jonas Adaria and hallucinating that merpeople will save her. She has searched for Atlantis forever and a freak accident brings her to its very heart and Jonas. Then there’s the small matter of his mate, Princess Maleka and their lover Bruin. Can she become part of a poly-amourous family unit as is the Atlantean tradition? Or will she decide to die alone below the sea?

Here’s my seven paragraphs from Below the Sea:

“Hey, sleepyhead, wake up.”

The fresh aroma of coffee filled the air and it was followed by a gentle nuzzle at my neck. I sighed and leaned into the gentle kisses as my crotch ached to be touched. Jonas couldn’t come into a room without me becoming aroused. In some ways, it was very much a nuisance while in others it made me remember the promise of pleasures to come.

This morning was no different except I had had another agenda in mind for the day. This time he wouldn’t dissuade me from achieving my goal. I’d just do it after the lovemaking, I suddenly decided. I stretched and put my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me. I could feel the bulge in his shorts getting bigger. It didn’t take much to turn on my big boy. Pulling him away from my neck, I nipped at his bottom lip.

“So that’s how we’re going to play it today,” he growled and nipped me right back.

“And just how is that?” I whispered, my breath coming out slightly faster than intended. A girl didn’t need to appear too anxious, no matter who the lover might be.

Jonas Adaria was a glorious lover, the best I’d ever had and I have never been one to turn down a little nookey in the morning. The man was a virtual god, with golden blond hair, turquoise blue eyes, and muscles in all the right places. He reminded me of the perpetual surfer boy who had always been the man of my dreams. He was especially the one who would matter more than most to me in a few minutes time, I thought, and smiled to myself.

He’d shown up on my doorstep one day about two years ago and just didn’t leave. At first, all I wanted to do was shake him because I felt he was like every other person who swore they wanted to look for Atlantis. I didn’t need another soothsayer, as most were not serious researchers and were downright nuts when you started digging into their past. But Jonas, now he was different, as he didn’t give up, and hounded me again and again until I gave in, because at first I just wanted to shut him up.

Currently, this book is not available because as I mentioned, it is being revamped. It is my hope that it will be back in the eXtasy Books’ catalogue by the end of summer.

Grabbing his tongue with her teeth, he felt her sucking action before allowing him to take it back. Her caring touch outlined his face, paying special attention to his lips. “I like this face.” Propping herself on her arms, she hovered over him, her weight a welcome distraction. Deliberately, as if she had all the time in the world, she straddled him.

Connor surged up to meet her.

“Uh-uh” Pushing him down, a sharp gasp emitted from her lips. “I’m running the show here, and I’m telling you, it’s not time yet.”

Welcome to week 79th week of My Sexy Saturday. The week’s theme is A Sexy Valentine.  I realize I don’t know what short and sweet means since last week was longer than expected. I apologize but I love to yap a lot and share things with you all. My cold is gone and all I’ve got to say is thank goodness. Now if I can get off this crazy sleeping schedule, I’d be one happy girl. For the moment, I’ve been getting up sometime between 4 and 5:40 am then taking a nap around 9 am when I get tired. At first, I was mad at myself and tried to go back to sleep but when that didn’t work, I decided that I needed to just go and write. So, it’s been a very productive week.

My multi-day post on my Facebook author page where I tell you five things about myself is still going because I just wrote the last post. And hopefully, you’ll love it because you’ll see just how true it is. Yup, I love those shiny new objects then there are the squirrels. Let’s just hope it gets posted this weekend ends. Yes, I know this is something I should have my assistant do and believe me, I will from now on. The giveaway for the $25 Amazon gift card will still take place, so keep those comments coming.

The weather in Austria has been odd again this week, so it definitely matches my temperament. It’s gone from cold to snowy to rainy to sunny and in the 50s. Yes, the weather here is definitely having a problem. I don’t know, maybe it’s having hot flashes too. Did I mention those? Ever since I had to take steroids for my illness a couple of years ago, I’ve had a resurgence of the things. Maybe that’s why there are nights I don’t sleep well and days where it takes me hours to focus. I’ve been told that they never stop and all I can think is heaven help me. Still, I spent most of the week inside since the cold kicked my butt for 7 days and that’s with meds that made me feel better almost immediately. It is what it is.

With the cold totally stopping life as we know it, my new weekly column, My Writing Life, didn’t get started like it was supposed to at all. At least I’ve got it written and scheduled. So look for that on Tuesday. I did mention I’ve been writing more…right? Love those early mornings!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone and since it’s the theme this week, I had to figure out just what I was going to do. Yeah, you’d think a romance writer of any subgenre would have at least one story about this special day written. Oh, no, not me. Not one shred of this romantic day could be found in any of my books. So, I went digging for something that would be fun and interesting. I thought about putting up something from my book Captive Illusions ~ Iain and Kelsey as it would help celebrate the 50 Shades opening. Then I decided against it because that book really wasn’t my style though all you who are going, please enjoy it as the reviews are coming back surprisingly positive. Personally, I give the credit to the actors myself.

So…what to post…what to post. I finally decide on a story that I hadn’t done in a while, Shopping Spree. It’s a fun, fast little read and it’s one of the books that my traditional epublisher still has on sale. It’s about a very special dress shop and what happens when someone wants to try on the clothes in the buff. Here’s the setup and it is short and sweet:

I love writing short stories and novellas, especially on those days when my own attention span is short. LOL! And apparently, so do a lot of women. From the surveys I’ve seen, it’s mainly those who have a daily commute where they sit on a bus or a train to get to work. The shorter reads can be done either coming or going meaning these things are being devoured by the thousands every day. Now that doesn’t make them any easier to write, just sometimes faster as an author can immediately get a feel for where to start and where to end without a lot of planning.             “Really? Hey,” Jonas started to protest but her lips stopped the words. She ran her tongue along his mouth and nipped at his lips before covering them with her own. Her tongue snaked out and began to war with his in a dance as ancient as time.
